Editorial Policy

Independence

Listings are not sold. Nobody can pay to be listed higher, and lists are alphabetical. If sponsorship or paid features are ever added, they will be labelled and kept separate from the data.

Sources

Practice facts come from Google Business Profile and each practice's own website. Guide content cites NHS.uk, the General Dental Council, the Care Quality Commission, NICE and similar public bodies. Every dated figure states when it was checked.

Health claims

We do not describe a practice as "best" or "top", we publish a price only when the practice's own website states it (shown with the source page and read date, and not verified by us), and we do not claim a practice is accepting NHS patients. We follow the spirit of GDC and ASA advertising guidance for dental services.

Clinical review

Guides are written by the site editor from credible public sources: NHS.uk, the General Dental Council, the Care Quality Commission, peer-reviewed research and official statistics. Every guide lists its sources at the end and the date they were last checked. Guides are educational and are not clinical advice.

Corrections

Report errors through the report page. We check the claim against a public source, correct the page and update the checked date. Practice owners can also claim a listing.

Removal requests

Some listings are named individuals, which are personal data under UK GDPR. To request removal or correction, use the report page and state the listing URL.

Frequently asked questions

What sources do the guides use?

NHS.uk, the General Dental Council, the Care Quality Commission and NHS England. Each guide lists its sources at the end.

Are the guides medical advice?

No. They are educational and say so. Ask your own dentist about your own case.

Who reviews the guides?

The author checks them against the sources listed at the end of each guide. They are educational, not clinical advice, so ask your own dentist about your case.

Do practices influence the content?

No. No practice pays for placement or for the content of a guide, and guides never link to individual practices.
